Bonjour
* On really, really old fans, they would use a DC motor, and [Interdit] speed control moved [Interdit] brushes around in relation to [Interdit] stator. This is a fantastic way to control [Interdit] speed, as it's directly changing [Interdit] geometry of [Interdit] motor and doesn't waste any energy.
* On [Interdit] slightly newer fans they had a rheostat. A very lousy way to control [Interdit] speed, as [Interdit] [Interdit] slow down [Interdit] fan, [Interdit] rheostat heats up! [Interdit] are usually wanting less heat, not more.
Really old ? 1940, mon bébé ventilo ?
Voila voila
Merci d'avance pour sauver mon ventillo écolo
